Weaving a Tapestry of Memories

I am weaving a tapestry of memories about my Mother, Swapna Dutta (2 October 1953 – 27 July 2025). Some memories from the past, some events, some feelings of joy, some of discomfort. I have made a special effort so that this recollection is not merely personal but carries a universal acceptance. Another important purpose of these writings is to try to understand my own life more clearly.

The first piece in this series was published on 1 August 2025, four days after my Mother's passing. Right after her death, I was quite shattered. To emerge from that despair, I began writing these notes. Now, a major aim of these writings is to become more aware of life itself. Life is such a strange thing that perhaps it can only be understood through feeling. That is the effort I am making. Let's see how far it goes.
